Giving Purpose to Surplus

We are really proud to begin raising money for this fantastic charity.

From discussions between us at Drop Project, we really believe the growth in poverty will be the greatest challenge to immerge from the situation Covid has put us in together. We saw no better way than to help than support a local community driven project that helps prevent people feeling hunger and prevents needless waste from the food industry.

Esther Community Enterprise is a highly worthwhile third sector organisation, run on an entirely voluntary basis, serving the homeless and other socially excluded people in London and the UK. "Giving Purpose to Surplus" is our mission statement. We aim to meet those who have needs in the local community by redistribution of food and other consumables donated from retailers. ECE makes a worthwhile collective response to the 3 tenets of sustainable development, namely social, economical and environmental needs. They have done some incredibly humbling work ensuring food banks are supplied, staffed and giving those who require support hope. In life there are moments where everyone needs help and these are the people who make sure that that is available.
